Eland Oil & Gas

A Focus on Greater Environmental Standards to Emergent Markets

Fiyaz founded Eland Oil & Gas in 2012. The business focuses on production, development and exploration in West Africa and South America. In 2012 the business went on to buy 45% of OML 40 in Nigeria with the aim to recommission its existing infrastructure and restart its wells.

The company was acquired by Seplat Petroleum in December 2019 for more than $ 470 million, by which time production had reached close to 45,000 bpd. Eland frequently collaborated with the ALFI Foundation on several global projects aimed at offsetting the environmental impact of its work.
